Journalist Artan Hoxha has strongly denounced the incident of January 21, 2011, where four protesters were killed.
Invited today to 'Top Story', Hoxha said that the Albanian state wanted to seduce the family of one of the victims, Aleks Nika, by offering them a considerable amount of money, amounting to millions of euros.
" Unfortunately, we are 15 years behind and 15 years without justice. The worst thing is that we do not have a deadline for when this that has begun will end. When the incident happened, Aleks Nika was the father of 2 daughters. Today his daughters are teenagers, his wife has fought a battle with the justice systems and the Albanian state, which has tried to seduce him into giving up the request for justice. The same thing happened when they went to Strasbourg. It was very sad that the Albanian state attorney's office wanted to seduce the Nika family with millions of euros in damages, but they insisted, fought a battle there and won.
The Strasbourg Court has given a decision that the government should have given, it is a murder and a state crime. The Albanian state wanted to destroy the evidence, to prevent the court from delivering justice. The Strasbourg Court, based on the testimony of the Nika family, gave that decision that put the Albanian Court with its shoulders against the wall.
