Former senior head of the State Police, Shemsi Prençi, has provided details about the murder of Albanian prisoner Jani Aliaj in the Koridhalos prison in Greece two days ago. In an interview for the show “Të Pashoq”, Prençi said that executions within prisons, as in recent cases in Greece, are not simply sporadic incidents, but well-organized acts by powerful criminal groups.
He also added that the serious incident in the Greek prison is a pure act of competition and settling scores, a methodology that, according to him, is not isolated to the neighboring country. Prençi added that it is expected that the Greek authorities will deepen their investigations to discover which of the Albanian groups is behind this execution order.
"I think that even the event that happened in Greece. Criminal groups are interested in having continuity. To have continuity in terms of the supply and distribution of narcotics, even international trafficking from Latin America to the European Union, and why not also to America. To carry out these, but also to carry out, to carry out the attack on competitors, you need people. Beyond the drug traffickers, you also need the armed wing. Who settle accounts with each other in relation to those who become obstacles. And I think that even the event in... in the Greek prison, happened for competition purposes and for money laundering purposes. Surprisingly, these events do not only happen in Albania...
The same thing happened with Alien in Greece. So a criminal group was interested in killing him in prison. That's all history. Time will tell, and I am convinced that the Greek authorities will go to the end of the investigation of this event, which of the Albanian criminal groups was interested. That in Greece there have been other murders for t... ordinary issues, issues of parallel relationships, in the family. But this murder in prison is for an issue... which is postulated to be the responsibility of a certain criminal group, especially in the field of drugs ," said Prençi.
