Klodian Braho, head of SPAK, is reporting before the High Prosecutorial Council, while answering questions from KLP members regarding the institution he has been leading for several months.
Braho was asked whether or not there is pressure from politics, and he replied that he is not concerned by the rhetoric, but only if legal changes are made that affect the competences of SPAK. It seems that this is also the message that Braho has conveyed to Prime Minister Edi Rama, who from time to time warns of changes, even though he later declares that he will guarantee the independence of the institution.
" Political rhetoric does not constitute a threat, it is rhetoric. It is worrisome if there are legal changes to the institution's competencies. There is no such thing so far. If we have such legal drafts, we will make our concern public and forward it to the KLP. Regarding human resources, prosecutors do not have legal advisors, except for the director. We have tried to harmonize the work and help prosecutors. The situation must be changed so that prosecutors have their own legal advisors ," said Braho.
