During the week that ended, in the offices of the Ministry of Finance, apart from receptionists and some auxiliary level employees, no director, head of department or other employee was present, as if every day were a weekend or an official holiday.
Sources within the institution report that the offices were locked, as the entire ministry staff, along with the institution's vehicles, were transferred for the electoral campaign in the Fier Region, specifically in the cities of Fier, Lushnje, Patos, Roskovec and Mallakastër.
They have abandoned their work on direct orders from the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, dividing into electoral groups led by directors and heads of sectors originating from areas of Fier District, to campaign for the Socialist Party.
According to the Electoral Code, the public administration is categorically prohibited from engaging in the campaign, but the employees were ordered by Minister Malaj, who is also a candidate for MP in this district. None of the employees dared to oppose this electoral order, for fear of immediate dismissal, while the order for active electoral engagement came directly from Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"Pamphlet" has provided information that employees who are campaigning in the service of the Socialist Party are using state vehicles and are receiving financial allowances as if they were in the service of the government.
Their task is to cooperate during the campaign with the leaders and employees of taxes, customs, and regional state agencies under the Ministry of Finance, exerting pressure on local businesses to guarantee votes in favor of the SP.
Petrit Malaj is ranked third on the list of candidates for the Fier Region, having secured his election as an MP even without campaigning, however, Prime Minister Rama has set certain vote targets that he must achieve by illegally using public employees.
Minister Malaj, known for his close ties to private accounting firms accused of money laundering through fictitious balance sheets, was catapulted to the top of the Finance Ministry by offshore mafia groups inside and outside Albania. Rama placed him on the safe list of deputies, displacing historical and dignified figures of the Socialists of Fier./ Pamphlet
