Law enforcement forces conducted a "blitz" action this evening in the Skela area of Vlora, as part of measures to increase public safety and prevent criminal incidents.
The operation comes just a few days after the serious incident that shook the coastal city, where a 17-year-old tragically lost his life after being hit by a luxury Porsche vehicle.
According to police sources, several checkpoints were set up at the entrance and exit of the area this evening. Blue uniforms stopped dozens of vehicles, mainly luxury ones with tinted windows, for verification, to identify drivers without documentation or with criminal records.
The checks are also focused on wanted persons, as well as on citizens who may be carrying firearms or cold weapons without a permit.
