Investigative journalist Artan Hoxha has published footage of a RENEA action in Lungomare in Vlora, on the morning of August 9.
In the images published in, some masked or dressed as civilians can be seen entering the hotel's restaurant, causing panic among the tourists, where there were children and women.
Hoxha said that this should not be done today, because this happened in the 2000s. According to him, such actions are only done when you have reliable information.
" It is an operation when RENEA's intervention was requested. It is an operation that was carried out on August 9 by RENEA's tactical forces in Lungomare in Vlora and the children are put under the table. Everything happens in 50 seconds. In such cases, it intervenes when there is a person with high risk.
The news that was given in the media talks about the intervention at 10 o'clock in the morning, no one was arrested and there are only tourists there, when these operations take place in the evening. When RENEA does these operations herself, she tries to avoid confrontation with civilians. There was no accurate information. Some of these effectives have been shorter. The people in the bar are women, children, family members. These operations are done when you have accurate information and not when there are tourists.
