After the police action in the MEK camp in Manez of Durrës, a reaction has also come from American senator Ted Cruz, a supporter of the Iranian opposition group.
In a tweet, Cruz asked allies in Europe, particularly France and Albania, to calm down the Iranian regime, as he said the strikes and appeasement would encourage and enable the Iranian regime to commit more global terrorism.
"Deeply concerned that across Europe and especially now, France and Albania, our allies are appeasing the Iranian regime and suppressing dissidents against the regime. The Biden administration is said to be supporting these pro-regime policies while also directly abetting the regime by sending the Ayatollah hundreds of billions of dollars and pushing for the release of terrorists. Strikes and mitigation will encourage and enable the Iranian regime to commit more global terrorism. They pose a direct threat to the security of Americans," Cruz wrote in his post.
Deeply concerned that across Europe—and especially right now, France and Albania—our allies are appeasing the Iranian regime and cracking down on anti-regime dissidents.
