The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana completed the investigations and sent the 'Tirana Football Club' and its administrator, Refik Halil, to court, on charges that they have not declared the social and health insurance payrolls for 26 players in the 2015-2016 season.
Refik Halili was interrogated on May 24 of this year in connection with obtaining data on the developments that were being investigated.
The administrator was asked about the amount of 22 million lek that was not declared to the tax authority, in that period of time.
He replied that "Tirana Club was privatized in September 2011, turning it into a joint-stock company with 100% capital and continued to be so until May 2015". Halili declares that he has been the administrator of the club since May 2015 with 66% of the shares and at the time of privatization, in this month according to him they did not submit the documents, mainly financial. According to Halil, as soon as he received the documents, he learned that no tax was paid at the tax office.
Taxes together with electricity, water supply, salaries of football players or lost trials, he says, reached a value of 4.2 million euros and that he has the court decisions as well as the documents of the bailiffs, which when he was appointed administrator in 2015, were blocked.
Meanwhile, regarding the concealment of profit tax income of 22 million ALL in the period 2013-2016, he stated that he "took the football club under administration in May 2015, and for the previous years, the people who were there before" are responsible.
Regarding the accusations that 26 footballers have not declared themselves to the tax authority, where for the period 2014-2016 the total value is 29 million ALL, Halili has testified that "I will make available at a second moment all the payrolls of footballers and employees". but he says, during the time he had the club in administration, "the social security of the footballers was all done".
