Appeal from the square to the US and EU: Support the people, not Rama
Scenes from the protest

From the 23rd consecutive protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, the protesters continued with their calls against Edi Rama's government, while some of the speeches were also addressed to the international factor.

One of the protesters stated that Albanians are the most pro-American and among the most pro-European people, demanding that international partners support the citizens who are protesting.

" A call to the European Parliament. We are a European people and this protest has shown it. I call on all MEPs to take a stand, to position themselves on the side of the most European people and not of a dictator ," he said.

In his speech, the protester also addressed the United States Ambassador to Tirana, Eric Wendt, seeking commitment to avoid tensions.

" I have a call for the US Ambassador, Eric Wendt. He has a military culture and understands it. When a dictator oppresses his own people, what is the way we can overthrow that dictator? We know it is a protest. Please, Mr. Ambassador, prevent any conflict and incident. The embassy must intervene, because we are the most pro-American people in the world and this people needs its allies ," said the protester.

During the rally, another participant called on citizens to maintain unity and not fall prey to divisions.

" I call on everyone to unite. Albania needs you today more than ever. The government has introduced all mechanisms to disrupt this protest. Unite, because together they cannot bring us down ," he said.

The protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office is taking place for the 23rd consecutive day, while organizers have stated that the rallies will continue in the coming days.
