Thousands of citizens gathered again this Sunday in front of the Prime Minister's Office building in Tirana, on the 23rd day of protests against Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government.
During the rally, a protester took the floor at the makeshift podium, addressing the participants as a mother of immigrant children and expressing concern about the departure of young people from Albania.
She stated that the emigration of young people is a consequence of the lack of prospects in the country and called on citizens, especially young people, to join the protest and not leave the square.
"I speak as a mother with children in emigration. We eagerly await the phone calls. We painfully accompany them to emigration. This crazy prime minister took our children away from us. He shamelessly says you left your parents to die alone. All the youth are leaving because there is no future here. We have a wonderful, well-educated youth.
What is happening to this country. Let's eradicate this dictatorship. When the protest started, it disappeared from memory. They put Zegjinena in parliament. These people no longer tolerate anyone. Do these people know that they will die one day. Let's unite as much as possible and let this protest not fall apart," the protester said.
