Scenes from the protest

The 23rd consecutive protest by citizens against the government has begun in front of the Prime Minister's Office. What initially began as a reaction against the project in Zvërnec has now transformed into a broader movement against the government and the political class, with protesters demanding profound political and institutional changes.

During the rally, activist Andi Tepelena declared that the protest no longer only aims to remove Prime Minister Edi Rama, but also to replace what he described as the "transition caste."

" This protest, in addition to the removal of Edi Rama, also has a major demand, the removal of this transitional caste and its renewal with new people. They have made laws for a handful of people. This government is on the side of the mafia. With the drug money that has entered Albania, prices have increased to the highest levels ," said Tepelena.

According to him, the opposition to the project in Zvërnec was only the starting point of a wider civic dissatisfaction.

" Zvërnec was just the tip of a popular revolt for the removal of this anti-Albanian who is blackening our lives every day. This movement is irreversible. Rama should know that we will not tire. Dead or alive, we will be here until we remove him ," said Tepelena.

He also leveled accusations at the electoral process and the government, contradicting the prime minister's claims about the electoral support enjoyed by the majority.

" Rama is not a representative of Albanians. He says he has 84 mandates, but they are stolen votes thanks to black money and organized crime. Now he brings out external enemies, agents of Iran, Russia, Israel, etc. We will respond to his arrogance with arrogance by telling him stop, resign an hour ago ," he said.

The protest is taking place in front of the Prime Minister's Office in continuation of the daily mobilization of citizens, who have declared that they will continue the rallies in the coming days.
