The former director of Butrint National Park and at the same time archaeologist Auron Tare spoke about the decision that will be given tomorrow by the Constitutional Court.
Tare raised the concern, saying that the concession of Butrint to a foreign Fund poses a risk to culture and national identity.
Among other things, he said that the territories of the Butrint National Park have been removed from the protected areas and construction permits are being granted.
"This issue has been present in the public media for almost three years. Tomorrow is the final decision of the Constitutional Court. Concession of Butrint to a foreign Fund is an unprecedented decision. It has not happened that a UNESCO heritage has been handed over to a foreign entity for management. The territories of the Butrint National Park have been removed from the protected areas and construction permits are being granted.
Beyond sarcasm, there are people in Albania, there are people with honesty who understand that this action is dangerous. I am optimistic and I think that the court will give the right decision", said Auron Tare in "News 24".
