The Special Court's appeal has left Ahmet Masha, the associate of former socialist MP Jurgis Çyrbja, in prison. Masha was arrested in October 2024 for exposing police operations and leaking state secrets.
Çyrbja is charged with 3 charges: "Revealing state secrets by citizens", committed more than once, "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime", committed more than once, and for active corruption in elections.
Çyrbja is accused of informing Altin Hajri and other persons wanted by Albanian authorities, in case there were police operations to capture them in the city of Durrës.
In return for this favor, Çybrja sought votes for his candidacy in the Durrës district in the 2021 parliamentary elections. For the same issue, Ahmet Masha was also arrested by order of SPAK.
