The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu, while commenting on the decision of the Special Court, which removed the measure of 'house arrest' from the head of PD Sali Berisha, said that the decision was fair.
Invited to the show 'Repolitix', on Report TV, Spahiu said that there is no court that dares to punish Berisha and Rama, according to him this situation will continue for another 10 years.
" I think it is a procedural level that is normal, a court should not be prejudiced. There is a principle in justice better 100 guilty outside than 1 guilty inside. I do not wish prison for a former prime minister because it damages the country's image. Guilt or innocence has not been decided today, it is a judicial process that will take time. To this day, I have a conviction that for 10 years there has been no court or judge to take Rama and Berisha to prison. I have been saying this for years that in Albania there are two untouchables and there are 2 million vulnerable.
I consider the court's decision to be fair regarding the security measure because the initial measure was also a request for mandatory appearance and it had to be passed to the commission of mandates, because his passport was taken. I am not an appeals court, I cannot tell the judge today that you are neither dependent nor have you given a wrong decision, but the procedural consequences that this decision will bring. Today, Kryemadhi must go and ask for his passport because Sali Berisha's passport was returned, because it was considered a restriction of freedom,' he said.
