A working group in the Directorate of Prisons has gathered to examine the request of Fredi Beleri, who requests permission to physically go to the European Parliament as an MEP.
Currently, the working group is considering all possibilities, but the permission has not been approved yet, because a person who has received a definitive punishment, in such cases, is allowed to leave the cell only to participate in meetings and not only, only within the territory of the country and not outside it.
Fredi Beleri asks for permission to go to the European Parliament and something like this is not foreseen by the law, to prevent a possible escape.
The Directorate of Prisons is still discussing Fredi Beleri's request, while it is not known whether or not there will be an approval from director Klevis Qose.
Meanwhile, earlier today the Greek media declared that the permit has been approved and that Beleri will leave for Brussels on Monday.
