Population census 2023, the director of INSTAT shows how immigrants will be dealt with

The director of INSTAT Elsa Dhuli has shown details regarding the 12th Census of Population and housing in our country.

Dhuli said that immigrants will not be part of the census, as only people who are residents in Albania will be in this process, due to the planning that will be done for the services. Among other things, she underlined that Albania is divided into 5240 census areas.

"It is a group that will supervise the process. Since May 15, we have opened an online staff recruitment platform where all persons over 18 years old. Albania is divided into 5240 census zones and in each zone there is a surveyor who holds up to 200 dwellings. It will be controlled by the controller. The questionnaire contains 8 modules and one of the modules is that the household is asked if there are family members if there are people living abroad. According to the census methodology, only persons who are residents in the territory of Albania will be covered. The census data will serve for a good planning of services",  she said.
