Former chief prosecutor Shkëlqim Hajdari has commented on the statement of the former special envoy of the White House for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Richard Grenell, who said that Thaçi was arrested on the way when he was going to make an agreement with Serbia to close the Special Court.
Hajdaraj said that Grenell's statement should be investigated, as it is chilling. According to him, if this is true, prosecutors and judges must be held accountable.
" Mr. Grenell's statements need investigation. His statement is chilling. In his public statement, he says that; the arrest of Thacci was made on the way to make the agreement with the Serbian side. This is very heavy. If these statements are proven, then this court can no longer be called. If what Mr. Grenell says is proven, those people have criminal weight, criminal responsibility ," he emphasized.
