Manja stated that the consultation will begin for the amendment of the Criminal Code, for the classification of polygamy as a criminal offense.
"All religious institutions have the obligation to implement the laws of the country just like all other public and private entities, because Albania is a secular state!
We have prepared the draft of the new Penal Code and we will send it for public consultation very soon. Polygamy for for the first time it will also be punished criminally. It is prohibited by law, but now it will also be punished criminally", said Manja in the show "Te Paespozuarit" on MCN TV.
