Other details have emerged from the tragic accident that occurred this afternoon at kilometer 537.5 of the Egnatia highway, at the Iasmos toll booth, when a truck collided with two cars. As a result of the collision, one of the cars, where 4 people were, burst into flames, while 3 people lost their lives at the scene of the incident by burning. Meanwhile, the fourth person was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Protothema writes that the victims were carbonized, and that they are of Albanian nationality, residents of Athens.

It is learned that the truck that caused the tragic accident was driven by a Bulgarian citizen, who is also in serious condition and has been transported to the hospital.
As a result of the serious accident, the fire spread to the perimeter of the Egnatia Highway, in a rural area. Shocked, drivers of vehicles passing nearby rushed to the scene to see what had happened, while strong firefighting forces, three emergency service ambulances and the Police were mobilized.
