Lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi, who fell prey to an attack on Wednesday morning in the premises of a private garden in Tirana, continues to be in critical condition.
Since the day of the attack, he has been intubated and his condition is reported to be serious. So three of the perpetrators of the attack, namely Drivald Alia, 21 years old; Elton Kasaj, 33-years-old and Romario Tabaku, 26-years-old continue to be searched and the destination they followed after the incident is still unknown.
It is learned that in addition to the control set up at the border points, the Police has also carried out controls in several cities of the country, outside of Tirana, but has not yet reached their tracks.
So far, one of the perpetrators of the attack, Dorian Alia, has turned himself in regarding the incident, who in his preliminary testimony given to the investigators said that the attack was ordered by Dritan Nano, and that they had only gone to give a message without thinking that the situation would become critical.
Meanwhile, Nano himself, already arrested by the Police, has denied the accusations, saying that he was not the organizer and that he had nothing to do with the event. From the investigations so far, it is said that the attack happened because of the duty, for a property issue that the lawyer represented earlier.
