Tonight's guest on the "Të Pashoq" podcast with journalist Edjona Dervishi was security expert Ilir Kulla. He spoke about the situation in Iran and US moves in Venezuela and Greenland. Kulla also made a prediction for the year 2026.
-How do you predict the year 2026?
It will be a difficult year and 2025 will continue to be a difficult year, both globally and locally.
-When you say difficult year...
A difficult year with many surprises, with strong events.
-A difficult year, but it could be good for, for the people...
I am accustomed to never referring to the word people and populism.
-Why?
For me, citizens, individuals, are important.
-Yes, I referred to the people of the citizens.
We had elections last year. Those people who went to vote for example in Vlora for the Socialist Party with 90% or 80%, as it was, those same people two months later came out and protested against it. So don't expect change from the people and populism. What is important is to understand how, this system of ours, this Albania that will become the EU in 2030, is it really ready to make the great sacrifices to really become part of the EU and the European world? This will be a challenge. If this happens, this means that big changes will happen here. If this doesn't happen, it means that here, I will repeat the expression they say in the Korça area, Thessaloniki and down, as it has been, it will be.
