Interior Minister Taulant Balla has warned of changes and dismissals in the high ranks of the Police and there may even be surprises in the future.
He asked the AMP to raise the stake in the fight against corruption in the ranks of the State Police, surpassing the current level of the Chiefs of the Police Station.
"When I came in July, I asked you about Directors and Heads of Police Stations processed by you. I am glad that in these months we have had heads of the Commissariat or Sector Heads of the State Police caught red-handed, but more results are needed, even at higher levels", said the minister.
In the ceremony held for the certification of employees trained by ICITAP in the ranks of AMP, Balla also evidenced that AMP has 50% more referrals in these 7 months, compared to the same period a year ago, with almost 2 times more referred police officers, 257, among them 78 officers arrested or with security measures.
"This is also significant. But more results are needed. Cross the threshold of the chiefs of the police stations", emphasized the minister during his speech.
Regarding the work of AMP, Balla said that, "you have all the support, that this civil and intelligent structure controls the full activity in accordance with the law and the Code of Ethics of the Police, Guard and Fire Service. I will do everything to provide you with the appropriate financial treatment and to include you in support programs, such as home loans".
He expressed his gratitude to the Government of the United States of America, its agencies, the Embassy in Tirana, underlining the ongoing assistance of the ICITAP program in Albania, in strengthening, modernizing and consolidating the investigative capacities of the State Police and the Surveillance Agency. Police.
"The Police Supervision Agency was established more than 30 months ago with a law worked together with international partners, and in the Parliament we have considered it as a law of special importance, which I know well and keep in mind the expectations we had when we approved it", he said.
