Journalist Blendi Fevziu commented on the "Tempulli" police operation, where more than 230 people were arrested for distributing narcotics, a fact that shows that drug consumption in Albania is at very high levels.
Invited to the show "Te Paespozuarit" on MCN TV, Fevziu called on the judges, when they give decisions, to think about the many children and teenagers whose lives are destroyed by the drugs these people sell.
"The problem is drugs near high schools, teenagers. The action was aimed at the drug network, focused on schools. It came as a result of reports from parents who noticed in children, a kind of drug addiction.
As a number, it is too many, I don't even know if the prisons have a place to take so many. We have not had such massive strikes in Albania. Here we are facing a phenomenon that has come for a solution. There has come a moment when the problem of safety in schools must be solved, which includes drugs, who they hang out with, alcohol, etc.
It seems that there is an attention, which also comes from the concern of the parents. I have made an appeal to the judges, when it comes to sentencing them, the judge who will make the decision, must take into account the law, but also the children, whose future is destroyed.
To take the life of a child in this way is more criminal than to shoot the child, because it causes prolonged agony. The measures against people who act in these conditions should be toughened," said Fevziu.
