Italian meteorologists have issued a serious weather warning for the next 48 hours.
As meteoweb.eu reports in the coming days, the polar sector will promote the formation of a deep cyclone over southern Italy, while in the north the influence of a large anticyclone will extend to Central Europe. On the ground, the currents will move from the east, bringing as a result the flow of cold air, mainly of arctic-marine origin.
According to forecasts, there will be a change in the weather on Sunday.
The weather will worsen on Sunday and Monday in western, central and northern Greece with heavy rain and local storms, mainly in the northwest, while snow will fall in the continental mountainous areas as well as in the semi-mountains of central and northern Greece.
In the north of Greece, mainly from the evening of Sunday and Monday, it will snow even in areas with lower altitude.
The temperature during the two days will decrease from 8 to 10 degrees in the central and northern areas and 3 to 5 degrees in the rest, returning to normal levels for the season.
Northeasterly winds in the Central and Northern Aegean will reach 7 to 8.
