In recent weeks, many Albanians have noticed a strange phenomenon: receiving phone calls from an unknown number, but even more strange is that those who call you, hang up directly.
Is there any explanation for this?
It turns out that these calls are generated by the so-called "call centers", where many companies launch their customer capture campaigns on their phone lists.
Various companies have autodialing programs that route those calls to lists they have available.
This makes workers' jobs easier, to the point that they don't have to call, but receive the automated call.
But what happens if there is no one to take the call?
You already know what happens: you pick up the phone and no one answers on the other end.
Once this happens, you should be aware that the call can be made again. This is because the "software" queues it up waiting to retry and can actually do so within seconds.
How to avoid unwanted calls?
Some mobile phones already have a list of numbers marked as spam and will notify you even before you open it.
On your part, you can go to your mobile registry and blacklist unknown numbers to avoid calls from those numbers.
