The announced protest of Albanian farmers for subsidies has officially started today.
As they blocked the Lushnje-Fier highway with tractors, the farmers spilled a significant amount of milk.
Livestock farmers are protesting the reduction in the price of milk from the collecting factories. They claim that since April 1, the price has been reduced by 100 old lek per liter of milk.
The price reduction was made by the milk factories unanimously. In protest, the cattlemen poured milk on the street.
Protesters claim that state institutions do not exercise proper controls in this sector. They say that they are being treated unfairly by state institutions and that they do not have the proper support.
