The Special Court of Appeal has upheld the house arrest measure for the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako.
The appeal of GJKKO examined the appeal of SPAK which requested the return of Dako to the measure of detention "prison arrest"
Dako was released on February 27, 2024 after the terms of detention expired.
The file is still in the stage of preliminary investigation. It should be the judge who is ready to decide whether the file should be sent to court or sent back for investigation, or make another decision about his guilt or not.
