GJKKO has submitted for trial the file against Fredi Beleri, accused by SPAK of electoral corruption. The trial against Beler in the GJKKO will take place with the usual process.
Fredi Beleri's lawyer in a communication to the media said that the elected mayor of Himara is being held in political prison.
"He is being held in political prison. He declared them in the courtroom", he said.
He also added that the trial will last and that therefore there is no reason to keep Beleri in prison. He further said that there was no expectation that today in this session there would be other results.
We remind you that Fredi Beleri is accused by SPAK of electoral corruption. He has been in custody since May 12, two days before the local elections, arrested on the charge of buying votes from a police infiltrator.
From the investigations carried out by SPAK, it appears that Beler has offered the citizen Arsen Rama monetary sums of 50 euros for every person that Arseni would find, who would vote for Beler as a candidate. The citizen Arsen Rama himself, Beleri has promised 300 euros as a reward for the service he would perform.
