Journalist Artan Hoxha has revealed a scandal that is happening in Himare and in the municipalities run by the Greek minority. Since the population census is about to start, Hoxha has stated that they are trying to capture the survey groups and manipulate the numbers of minorities in this area.
Hoxha said that the mayors have the duty to set up and manage the working groups for the census that will start in a few days, so they want Beleri in Himare. Greece claims Himara and the villages around it as a minority area, although this claim is not supported by any historical facts or documents. During a show, he revealed that the OMONIA organization sued him in court.
" They sent a letter to my colleagues in the editorial office and told them not to fall prey to this journalist's information. That they think I have done it with the information I have extracted. The mayors have set up working groups and are checking the working groups in the census that is being done now. And if it was, Beleri would have the census in hand for the Municipality of Himara.
In terms of the Municipality, Finiq and Dropull have appointed the working group themselves and told the Albanian personnel not to come near here at all. I have a direct case with "Omonia" and Beleri, a lawsuit, at first they told me that they have sued me in SPAK but they have not called me until now.
The whole idea is to silence the journalists in Albania to cover the truth ", he said.
