After Fatmir Mediu regarding the Gërdec tragedy, Bardhyl Hoxha, former Logistics Director at the Ministry of Defense in 2008, and Sadik Sula, a former soldier who worked in this warehouse, also testified at the GJKKO.
Hoxha stated in front of the jury that when he was Logistics Director he drafted a memo for Bërzhita, where he came to the conclusion that this place is not suitable for dismantling weapons since the houses were very close. Meanwhile, according to him, he was never asked about Gërdec during the time he held this office.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Sula has stated that he started working in Gërdec, since he was unemployed. He claimed that he saw with his own eyes that the fire started in a cart, which according to him had 2 or 2 bags of gunpowder. Having said that, he implies that the explosion in Gërdec happened because of a human error.
