Former head of prison police Faik Basha said that the perpetrators of the attack that injured 4 people in Tirana had mistaken their target.
Basha stated that criminal groups in Albania have not targeted children so far, especially without warning the main target.
According to him, the target of the assassination was most likely Roan Brahimi's wife, whom the perpetrators did not follow but waited in ambush, knowing only the type of car and the license plate.
"We have not seen any case so far where criminal groups have targeted children without warning the main target, this track completely falls apart. While it has been investigated, the driver has not had any events that would link him to such an attack. The only possibility is that both events are connected to each other, the perpetrators have confused themselves at the final moment, they have not had their wife under surveillance, they have guarded the place, they have information about the vehicle and the license plate and the target may have been confused ," Basha told "Euronews Albania".
