A few days ago, according to a report by the Lezha police, a car caught fire in the town of Rreshen.
This car turned out to be owned by the wife of the former director of the Reç prison in Shkodra, Andrea Përbasha.
Përbasha indicated today that unlike the police report which stated that the cause of the fire was an electrical spark, he has security camera videos available that show deliberate arson.
The former prison director has shown the moment when the suspect pours gasoline on his car and then drives away, saying he may have done it for reasons of revenge.
Përbasha adds that he does not suspect that the incident is related to his work as the former director of the Rec prison.
"It's very simple, because I have the cameras and the person who set the car on fire and drove away down a canal. I have all the videos. The police said it was an electrical spark, but the car had not been started for 48 hours. The police have the videos themselves, why they didn't give the correct information I don't know. Together with them, I have moved through the cameras, I have also seen them privately, I have also seen the person who throws the gasoline bottle at the car and drives away, and even takes the bottle with him and I am more than sure that it was a very small man, an ordinary person.
I think that this event was caused by very small people, I think that they are small-minded people and I think that this is a very small revenge to harm me economically, I do not take my intuition any further. Many things cannot be ruled out, because it is not easy to have worked at the Reç prison, we are Albanians, there may also be malice on the part of the prison, but I do not take my mind there. I think that the state police are close, but I am closer, because I am following the case , "said Përbasha.
He added that his own children had witnessed this scene, which they did not experience well at all, and called on the police to identify the perpetrator, who according to him was injured at the moment of the arson.
"To fully uncover the truth, the state police should consult with all the hospitals in Albania, because the person was injured, we also found the bottle. I multiply this action that happened by zero. My children saw the whole scene and it was something difficult. Only two people know the reason why I am unemployed now," Përbasha told "TCH".
