Artificial intelligence is part of society. While discussions about the concern that it would replace jobs that were previously done by humans have always been present, this technology is being used as a work tool in various sectors. However, its excessive use is not advisable.
Various studies show that the more people rely on artificial intelligence programs, the less critical thinking and creativity they have. Experts say that overuse of artificial intelligence leads to laziness in young people.
"The development of artificial intelligence is indirectly dominating our natural intelligence. We are finding answers and solutions to almost everything. Which means that our natural intelligence quotient is disappearing. This is what is making us lazy. We are not killing our brains at all. A topic and essay are already there. We are not wondering how to find it ourselves," the expert says.
Artificial intelligence is dominating with the conveniences it has brought. Its disadvantage continues to be misuse.
"The Google Translate app came out, everyone was translating hundreds of pages and it came out with errors. Today Google has been updated and gives you an accurate translation. Applications have also come out that translate voice without having to learn a language," adds the expert.
"Especially in these times when not everyone has access to information, foreign languages, or the pace of life is quite high, AI is the first door they knock on, but it puts our activity and desire to research on hold. The conveniences that these platforms create make the laziest and most industrious among us," the sociologist further declares to ABC News.
Artificial intelligence gives us what we want more quickly and easily. But according to sociologists, there is one thing it will hardly ever have the same as humans.
Human emotion. If there's one thing we can't attribute to artificial intelligence, it's human emotion. Human creativity is always what makes up our essence.
Artificial intelligence is the future of technological developments. Albania, like developed countries, has begun to incorporate it into many sectors to facilitate work and services as much as possible. Its pace and development are unknown to what extent it will reach. But in this new reality of the world, according to experts, AI currently lacks two elements: originality and creativity.
"To research, to search, to develop themselves, but also to kill a little bit of their minds. To use AI for as much productivity as possible. If we find a golden mean, I think it would be better. It is our future, we cannot save it. This is an interdependent world. No matter how much this great hurricane of technological development may come, it is our will that leads us towards them. I hope that man will choose what is best for them."
