Journalist Artan Hoxha remembered the murder of commissioner Gani Malushi 20 years ago today. Hoxha also writes that 6 years later, 4 police officers, Fatos Xhani, Altin Dizdari, Kastriot Feskaj, and Sajmir Duçkollari, were killed in Durrës.

On August 6, 2003, Commissioner Gani Malushi was killed in Durrës
The head of the Fushë-Kruja police station, Gani Malushi, was shot with a volley of bullets, causing his death. The cause of this murder was blood feud and the target was Gani Malushi's driver. Agim Pepa was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder.
