Jorgo Goro behind bars, why is Greece silent? Reporter: His arrest, American

Last Saturday, by order of SPAK, the acting mayor of Himara Municipality, Jorgo Goro, ended up in handcuffs.

Journalist Stavri Marko, from Athens in a live connection with "Real Story" said that Goro's arrest was expected.

He described as ridiculous the charge that SPAK has brought against Goro, whom he accuses of abuse of office.

"It was expected. The problem of the lands that is galloping, that has been separated from his hand and is a tragedy, is a ridiculous accusation of malfeasance. We have a Himaran, who stands in the middle, who does not understand what is going on. It looks like a municipality that sometimes looks like a corpse and sometimes like a skeleton. It is a chaotic situation, before the tourist season", he said.

He said that there was an action inside the Municipality of Himara, where several computers were seized.

"They also dismantled the computers in the municipality of Himara. There are a lot of news circulating," he said.

The journalist further added that there is a double legal standard in Albania.

"There are double standards in the rule of law in Albania. SPAK has had all the opportunities to act, in fact, the fact that SPAK has called on Jorgo Goros so many times, 5-6 times, means that it was indecisive and did not want to act at that time, and maybe it has something to do with with an order, which I have from my own voices, and there was an American pressure for Himara's problems to go to the end, and one of the reasons why SPAK made this arrest, is also a suggestion that comes from the USA". he added.

Asked why Greece is silent on the case of Goros, while Beleri described the case as a political attack, Marko said:

"Greek interference was legal interference. From the point of view of legal correspondence based on the laws of Albania. We are concerned about how the mass robbery will be dismantled. There are thousands of corks, according to Greek media. We are not concerned with the procedure of what will happen to Goro," he added.
