The member of the Presidency of the official DP, Fitim Zekthi, has commented on the arrest of the mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro.
Zekthi emphasized that even Prime Minister Edi Rama is terrified of SPAK. For Zekthi, Goro's arrest is good news, adding that justice is touching the untouchables.
"Justice is giving signs that those who had or have power are going before the court. This is probably the good news for this poor Albania. There are very high officials in the investigation and that is a good thing. The most unjust thing is that he who is weak goes to prison for the smallest thing and those in power do not answer to justice. SPAK however has problems. It is not easy for SPAK to investigate.
Big corrupt money exerts a lot of pressure, even threats of prosecutors, but SPAK is doing a wonderful thing. Rama is terrified for himself by SPAK. People close to him are being investigated. Also because Rama's closest people are in prison today. Good news is coming from justice. Those who think differently, I think they don't want justice" , said Zekthi in News24.
