Altin Dumani, the former head of SPAK, has had two additional bodyguards added to his body, following threats against him. The decision to increase security measures for prosecutor Dumani was also confirmed by the Minister of Interior, Albana Koçiu, during a press conference. She said that the Guard of the Republic has taken the measures by adding two bodyguards for Dumani, in implementation of the decision of the High Prosecutorial Council.
The request for increased security measures against Altin Dumani was submitted to the KLP by his successor at the head of SPAK, Klodian Braho. According to a letter addressed to the KLP, pressure on Dumani had increased due to the decisive investigations conducted by the Special Prosecution Office during the time he headed this institution.
"The KLP has made a decision and at the moment it makes a decision, there is also a representative member from the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the level of deputy minister. We have been informed, we have been part of the decision-making."
On the other hand, the Republic Guard has implemented this decision by adding to its staff two more bodyguards for Dumani at the level of SPAK prosecutor. The Republic Guard has taken all measures and approved the addition of two employees," the minister said.
