Former Prosecutor Ervin Karanxha said that the media also plays a key role in the threats that prosecutors face in their reporting.
Invited to "Quo Vadis", he said that the media should be careful.
Focusing on the clash between Mayor Erjon Veliaj and SPAK Prosecutor Ols Dado, Karanxha said that the mayor is in prison because of the "Editor's" wrong advice.
According to him, Veliaj should not have publicly attacked the prosecutor, but should have defended himself with facts.

Journalist: What do you think of Dumani's statement that there are threats against prosecutors?
Karanxha: In any normal process, a prosecutor, when implementing the law, violates certain interests, and there will be a counter-reaction. Now we have to separate what the threat is, verbal, media or ... Let's take the latest case of Veliaj, how far the media will go to discuss the case. We come from a dictatorship, we must have a golden mean, the media should report the news but not violate the prosecutor. Let's take the case of Veliaj, you can deal with the prosecutor but not with the children. In the case of Veliaj, there may be allegations, people will speak, but when it affects families, this is not normal. Even Veliaj, those Editors who taught him, learned wrong, even the lawyer who taught him told him not to insult the prosecutor, deal with the defense. It is the editor's mistake that he is in prison.
