The Mandates Council will meet tomorrow to address the request of the Special Prosecution Office, SPAK, to lift the immunity of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
The decision to convene the Immunity Council came a few days after the European Commission asked the Parliament to handle the Special Prosecution's request without delay.
Lifting Balluk's immunity from Parliament would pave the way for her arrest, whether it be prison arrest, house arrest, or even a home search.
The members of the Council are also meeting, after the Constitutional Court rejected the government's request to suspend the measure of the GJKKO that dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku from public office. Tomorrow it remains to be seen whether the Mandates Council led by Niko Peleshi will consider the request of the Special Prosecution Office tomorrow.
