A landslide was recorded this Sunday in the village of Algjinaj, in the Shezë Administrative Unit of the Peqin municipality, causing visible cracks in the ground and problems with road traffic.
According to residents, the landslide has affected a segment of the village, where significant cracks have been created, while a part of the rural road has been damaged and is currently difficult for vehicles to pass. The road serves as the main axis for the daily movement of residents towards other areas, so the situation has caused considerable difficulties in traffic.
Cracks have also been found near three apartments, raising concerns about their safety. So far, no injuries have been reported, while it is expected that the relevant structures will conduct on-site verifications to assess the level of risk and the measures that need to be taken.
Residents of the area are calling on the authorities to intervene quickly, with the aim of stabilizing the terrain and restoring full access to the village road.
