Fahrije Budo (Stringa) has been appointed as a judge in the divorce process of the Meta-Kryemadhi couple.
This Wednesday, the electronic lot was cast, six days after the registration of the petition for divorce in the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana.
"Based on Article 5, point 1 letter c, of Law No. 9887 dated 10.03.2008 "On the protection of personal data", I inform you that:
On 20.06.2024, in the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, a claim was registered with the Plaintiff IM and the Defendant MK, with the object: "Settlement of the marriage with the defendant". After the registration process, the case went to the electronic lottery process and the case was decided for trial by judge Fahrije Budo (Stringa)" , the announcement states.
Ilir Meta filed for divorce from Monika Kryemadhi on June 20. A few days ago, PL leader Ilir Meta said that he took the divorce decision after Monika spoke at SPAK.
Meta has stated that it was the constant quarrels due to political positions that pushed him towards this decision. According to the head of the PL, their relationship broke down after the decision of Kryemadhi to burn the mandates obtained in the 2017 elections.
"It has been the most difficult decision in my life, it is motivated by irreconcilable divisions related to great causes that are ethical for the country. Our relations have suffered a severe crisis since her decision as chairperson of LSI to burn 19 mandates. Her positions completely opposite to the causes I advocate and creating confusion had to end. I understand everyone's emotional reactions. My obligations are related to the contribution of hundreds of thousands of people who have believed in me. This decision of mine is not related to my relationship with her as a wife or mother of our three children. I am not breaking up with a woman for another woman. I deeply apologize to my three children for the worries I have caused them ," he said.
While Kryemadhi, did not prefer to comment on her husband's decision, as she said that she would speak at a second moment after learning the reasons that led Meta to the request for divorce, filed on Thursday in the Court of Tirana.
