The scheme of how Italian citizens were extorted through the "Call Center" in Tirana

New details have emerged from the fraud scheme through call centers in Tirana, where a wide network was hit by SPAK and Italian authorities on the evening of January 17.

The Italian investigative show "Le lene" has published an investigation regarding the "Call Center" operating from Tirana, revealing a scheme in which citizens from different countries were defrauded, asking them to invest various amounts of money.

"Le Lene" had received information from Italian citizens that they had been scammed over the phone and had lost significant amounts of money.

The investigative show initially managed to infiltrate a person in the "Call Center" group, who managed to discover the mechanism of how it worked.

A significant number of people working for the fraudulent company called various people, urging them to invest in the platform, with amounts starting from 250 euros and reaching 200 thousand euros.

One of the pieces of advice given to the "Le Lene" infiltrator was that the people being called should not be allowed to earn more than 30-50 euros per day in order to encourage them to invest again.

One of the Italians employed at the "Call Center" told the "Le lene" infiltrator that he personally managed to earn 3,500-10,000 euros per month from his work during a month.

Inside the "Call Center" premises, it is reported that the cameras of personal phones were blocked so that no one could film or take pictures.

The action took place on the evening of January 17 in the capital, and 8 people were arrested for raiding call centers, including Remir Gjoligaj, Endri Gjata, David Qerimi, Elis Merkaj, Rentjan Peposhi and Odeas Kuqi.

Meanwhile, the three organizing brothers, Agim, Alfred and Arjan Prekaj, have been declared wanted.

The list of controlled facilities also includes 2 luxury towers in the capital, specifically "Atti Tower", on "Ibrahim Rugova" Street, opposite the Orthodox Cathedral, and another building on Bajram Curri Boulevard.

From the first investigative actions of the BKH, it resulted that the organizers of this criminal activity had a sophisticated security structure, with several protective perimeters, using not only static film cameras, but also civilian surveillance personnel, outside this Center.

Also, due to the announcement by the latter, overnight the premises where the call center was set up were emptied, to be moved to another building. But everything was discovered./Lelene
