The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has commented on the statements of SPAK head Altin Dumani, that Taxes and Customs have not made any report to the Special Prosecutor's Office.
He said that the institutions dependent on politics, even though they should have been the ones that should have caught the violations of the officials, do not file any report as they are caught by the system.
Spahiu said that the only partner of SPAK that files reports is the High State Control.
"It is universally known in Albania that the only major independent institution is the High State Audit which is headed by Arben Shehu, one of the best lawyers and professionals in Albania. One of the most independent intellectuals in his non-political stances. As a powerful institution, SPAK has found a partner. So KLSH is today the only serious partner of the Special Prosecutor's Office. All other institutions that are under the control of the government and that are dependent on the government do not submit any report. If I didn't give permission, politics is impossible. The system itself blocks them. It is very easy for them to check the finances of every official and make reports to SPAK" , said Spahiu for "Euronews Albania".
