Albania's ambassador to Israel, Meri Kumbe, has confirmed that 11 Albanian citizens are stranded in Israel, at a time when the US and Israel have launched attacks on Iran. Tehran has responded to Israel with missiles, as well as striking US military bases in the Middle East.
According to Ambassador Kumbe, Albanian citizens have been instructed to take shelter in safe areas, while the situation on the ground remains dangerous.
" 11 Albanian citizens are stranded in Israel and we have given them instructions to take shelter in a safe place. There was more damage in Tel Aviv and other cities, where there is vital infrastructure, such as energy or places where there are military bases. Citizens have been told that the situation is dangerous and shelters have always been ready ," she stated.
Israeli authorities have declared a state of emergency until March 2, while there is still no clear deadline for how long the escalation of the situation may last. The Albanian Embassy has called on citizens to remain calm and follow the instructions of local authorities.
