Ahmeti emphasizes that the answer will be available only after full investigations.

The Director of the Energy Regulatory Entity, Petrit Ahmeti, said that it is not yet known what will happen to the electricity blackout on June 21 of this year.

Ahmeti emphasizes that the answer will be available only after full investigations.

"It is a difficult situation in the entire region. Defects in 400 kilovolt lines do not occur before and require a serious analysis. We are waiting for the analysis of this phenomenon, it is not that it happened only to us but also to our neighbors. It was a defect that happened first with Montenegro and then with Greece. Currently, the institutions are analyzing the phenomenon because it is not yet known why it happened. I guarantee you that it cannot be an internal problem that affects the country's lines. We await the report of EU experts on this defect. Today we received information that within a short time the Albanian system was put into operation. The analysis will also provide us with the reason why this power outage occurred. It is a sensitive matter, so we have to wait for the analysis", he said.

The breakdown came from the interconnection line with Greece, which had a chain effect throughout our country," added Ahmeti.
