The three former directors of Tirana Municipality Redi Molla, Taulant Tushe and Mariglen Qato will continue their stay in the cell.
The Special Court once again rejected their request for relaxation of the security measure.
Tushe, Molla and Qato were arrested in March of this year by order of the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, as part of the investigation into the "5D" file.
The three former directors were left in the "arrest in prison" measure, while five other people in the "compulsion to appear" measure, namely Enton Punavija, Julian Zanaj, Albano Janku, Nestor Muhamellari, Deborah Keçi and Englatina Zere.
The investigation into this matter started in 2023, for two criminal offenses "Effort of duty" and "violation of equality in tenders".
According to SPAK, Qato and Molla are the de facto owners of the "5D" company, which, according to investigations, has won several tenders near the municipality.
It is about 11 tendering procedures in the time frame of 6 years, from 2016 to 2022. The company is also known by two different names "Igor Electric" and "Vas construcion".
It is expected that the investigations on this matter will expand further, while a number of people have been questioned.
