The last farewell to the genius of Albanian letters, Ismail Kadare, his grandson and granddaughter gave him amid tears and the great pain of losing their grandfather.

In the escort to the last apartment, the granddaughter of the great writer burst into tears as she said: Goodbye, father, as I have always called you!

After his granddaughter's farewell words, Ismail Kadare's grandson recited 2 poems of his distinguished grandfather in French.

The great writer, Kadare, was taken today to his last residence in Tufina, where he will rest temporarily. As Prime Minister Edi Rama announced, the great writer will rest there temporarily, until a final residence of his own is ready.

The tributes in honor of Kadare started at 09:00 and lasted until 12:30 at TKOB, where many citizens, family members and well-known personalities participated.
