The Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita, has continued with changes in the management structures, appointing Alban Hoxha as head of Police Station No. 6 in Tirana, in a series of moves aimed at reorganizing law enforcement institutions.

Hoxha replaces Edvin Peci in this position and comes with a long experience in the ranks of the State Police. Previously, he held the position of Head of the Crimes Sector in Volume at the Tirana Local Police Directorate, and has led important sectors such as anti-drugs and operations. He has also served in several regions of the country, including Fier and Shkodra.

This move follows a wave of changes undertaken a few days ago at several levels of the police. According to previous decisions, Alfred Cenaj has been appointed head of Commissariat No. 2 in Tirana, while reorganizations have also been made in the border structures.

Arbër Zemani has been removed from the Border Directorate in Shkodra and transferred to head the Border Directorate in Vlora. Meanwhile, Altin Lila has been appointed director of the Border Directorate in Durres, while Agim Basha has taken over the Border Directorate in Shkodra.

The changes have also affected other leadership levels. Besmir Dervishi has been transferred from the post of deputy director of the Tirana Police to take up the post of chief of Crime in Kukës, while his place in the capital has been taken by Oliger Torba, who came from the same position in Fier.

At the central level, the leadership of the Operational Directorate has been entrusted to Alban Dautaj, who previously headed Anti-Terror, replacing Melsi Koçi. Meanwhile, Edmond Sula has been appointed head of Anti-Terror.

There have also been moves to other police stations and directorates, with Ermal Kënaçi being transferred from Police Station No. 2 in Tirana to Kukës, while Gent Ndoj has been sent to Dibër. In the traffic structures in the capital, Commander Joan Trungu has been transferred to head the “Arrows” special force.

These changes come after the appointment of Skënder Hita as head of the State Police and are part of a broader reorganization process, which aims to increase efficiency and strengthen control over public order and border points.
