The United States of America has been set in motion to reveal the links of the police to crime and the violations that occur in the ranks of the blue uniforms.
Today, the American embassy has announced that ICITAP has launched a three-week course for 15 agents of the Police Oversight Agency in order to increase the ability to detect deficiencies in law enforcement by police officers. According to the embassy, a total of 160 officers have been trained so far.
Today , September 23, the US Department of Justice - ICITAP, in partnership with the Albanian Police Oversight Agency (AMP), launched a three-week course on crime investigation for 15 AMP investigators at the Ministry of Interior. This program, first conceived in 2022, aims to increase the skills of Judicial Police and Law Enforcement Officers in the investigation of crimes, meeting national standards. Supported by senior officials in the Albanian government, this course has already trained over 160 officers and continues to build capacity in law enforcement in Albania. The US Embassy is proud to support this initiative for more police accountability on the road to EU integration ," the US Embassy announced.
