Journalist and DP candidate for MP in the May 11 elections, Basir Çollaku, said that over 10 SP MPs are representatives of crime. He hopes that SPAK will take them for criminal prosecution in early September. According to him, they can oppose Rama, but not their donors who invested in making them MPs.
"Bring the numerous cases of candidates who are currently MPs to criminal prosecution in early September. We have quite a few MPs, they are not few. It depends on the independence of SPAK, which we do not have so far. Over 10 MPs are representatives of crime in the 2025 parliament. They have their own group, they take orders from their donors. No one is able to tell them that I am not going to the assembly. They can oppose Rama, but not them because they have invested ," Basiri told "A2CNN"
Çollaku responded to SPAK leader Altin Dumani's statement that parties have made incomplete and inaccurate reports of electoral crimes by expressing why he does not react to the files of France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
"Well, we haven't done anything, but the 45 files that came from France, Belgium and the Netherlands? They don't have professional materials, where all of them are electoral crimes? How many have been arrested and punished by them. They have public names, they are ministers, MPs, officials and are connected to traffickers and murderers. We have 4 open files where the other 40 are, for these we will wait for the 2060 elections ," he said.
Çollaku raised accusations that drug traffickers and criminals work for the Socialist Party.
"They run the state, we say, now that these cocaine lords have occupied every office from the center to the base. You have it with a cobra at the ballot box. In 2023, Benet Beci had Bajrat at the voting centers, videos that have been published. Are they in the file? Were they punished? After the denunciations, there was some movement, so I say that SPAK should find a justifiable alibi. We needed the video to hit Visi i Pojës. Was this the group that influenced the elections? Of course it was. They own the Port of Durres. How long should Albanians wait for an arrest when the file comes from the USA?" he concluded.
